I picked the Interview with Richard Lieberman & Daisy Kinard

The source I have read is an oral history the audience I suppose would be those who are listening to the text or in my case reading the text. Daisy Kinards tells Richard Lieberman about the life style she had once lived as a young teenager. Daisy Kinards talks about the hard times she had faced while living in the south she talks about the major issues like segregation and education. Kinards talks about the hard times at work and her experience while working under excruciating hot weather and dealing with tobacco. Richard Lieberman asked Kinards about New York and she says she had heard fantastic stories about New York but after she had experienced it, New York was not what she had thought it would be she talks about roaches, rats and people sitting on stoops, and becoming disappointed but she realizes that if she goes home she is not going back to much. Then she gets to talk about the classes that New York has to offer like the working class, the upper middle class and the rich and that naturally you have to know where you fit in so she gets to tell Richard Lieberman about her fulfillment which is attending LaGuardia.Kinard says that she changed her mind about new York because she likes integrating and new York is like a melting pot.

Richard Lieberman got to know a little bit about Daisy Kinards life by asking the right question in order to see how Daisy Kinards had blossom, even though she had bad times everyone can somehow relate to her situation, like her expectation of hearing nice things about a place then realizing its not what she had in mind when she got there to that place and leaving something behind in order to accomplish more and live a better life. Because this interview can relate to people and experiences this document somehow uses the same characteristics that Studs Terkel uses by involving people who are experienced or have experienced and evolved from an impact in their life or have suffer trauma from there experiences. Richard Lieberman and Studs Terkel asked psychological question based on experiences and because they are able to provide readers with facts about these people emotions it feel real by the way these people exposes their feeling to the interview you can actually know that they are hurting and want to move on to a better and more comfortable life. In a way these people who are interviewed feel as if there is no way out and are stuck in the beginning but latter these people finds out a solution and deal with their stress positively by changing their perspective in life.
